Bikeathon Highlights

  • Town centre start
  • Staggered start time, sign in and start riding anytime between 08:00-10:00
  • All routes are fully signed

  • Feed station with toilets, at Great Warford Baptist Church a Tudor building dating back to 1712

All profits will go to Just Drop In Who provide free and friendly services for children and young people from Macclesfield and surrounding areas and do all that they can to provide support to those who need a bit of help in finding their feet or who are struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing, your entry fee goes a long way to help local children feel happier and healthier by funding counselling sessions.

Age limits:
16+ for the 30 & 60 mile routes
12 to 15 year olds are welcome on the 30 & 60 mile routes but must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.
1-99 year olds are welcome on the Family 12 mile route 

The family 12 mile route heads north out of Macclesfield along The Middlewood Way towards Poynton where the route joins the road and heads south back towards Macclesfield. See Route Here

The medium 30 mile route heads west from Macclesfield towards Jodrell Bank then north towards the feed station at Great Warford Baptist Church. Then it is on to Alderley Edge and Mottram St Andrew before returning to Macclesfield town centre where the welcome of the finish line awaits. See Route Here

The longer 60 mile route follows the above 30 mile route to the feed station at Great Warford. It then continues west, following quiet Cheshire lanes towards Knutsford. From here, more country lanes link to Byley where the route turns for home heading northeast back towards the feed station for another refreshment stop and the final push back to Macclesfield.
