Get your bike out for the last race of the year in Inistioge Co. Kilkenny on November 25th.
This event will give you the opportunity to experience the rivers, woodland, hills and trails of the Southeast including the scenic river Nore, Woodstock and Brandon Hill.
The Southeast Team Adventure Race ( STAR) will include the disciplines of kayaking, trekking, cycling and orienteering. Race participants must be over 18 to register to race.
We have two courses options for this event, a Sprint Course designed for newcomers to the sport of team adventure racing and an Endurance Course for the more seasoned racers or those who want to challenge themselves.
Sprint Course – Designed for Beginners
3-3.5Hrs Duration
Activities Involved: Biking – Trekking- Orienteering – Paddling
Non-Technical Course / Easy to Navigate
Road or Mountain Bikes can be used
Race Map & Paddling Equipment Supplied
Support Provided!
Endurance Course – Designed to Challenge
7-8 Hrs Duration
Involves: Mountain Biking – Trekking- Orienteering – Paddling
Semi -Technical Course / With Moderate Navigation Challenge
Mountain Bike required for endurance race.
Race Map & Paddling Equipment Supplied
For Sprint teams, the map will include a suggested route that may be followed for
the mandatory controls with optional bonus controls & some route choices for faster
teams.
For Endurance teams, it will be up to each team to decide their own route during
the race.
