Welcome to our Family Friendly event at Stony Hazel. On Saturday March 25th LOC are holding a family friendly event. Courses for people of all ages and abilities, whether complete beginners or experienced converts. A lovely area of woodland, with paths and tracks for those still finding their way and lots of brown contour wiggles for those wanting more challenge.
Unsure which course to enter? The 45 minute Score course will be a technical course, designed for experienced orienteers, not for beginners ! The white course is great for younger children, the yellow for older beginner children and the orange will tempt you off the beaten track slightly, so best for those with some experience of yellow courses already.
This event is a great chance to experience woodland orienteering. There will be lots of help available for beginners and newcomers.
We encourage running in pairs, it is good way to start orienteering. Just enter either as the junior for the junior/parent pair or one adult as the adult pair. Please add the names of the accompanying adult/pair in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box and also request an extra map, if required.
