The Shotley Peninsula 50 is a qualifying event for the 2024 Speyside 100
An undulating 52 mile figure-of-eight walk from Holbrook through the best of Constable Country, stretches of the river Stour and the Shotley Peninsula, passing close to the sea and the docks of Harwich and Felixstowe.
The route follows rural footpaths and riverside tracks from Holbrook via Brantham - Langham- Bentley - Holbrook - Woolverstone - Shotley - Erwarton - Holbrook - comprising both checkpoints and water stations.
Start Times:
Walkers from 08.30am
Runners from 10.00am.
Registration will be open from 7.30am for the 8.30am start and from 8.30am for the 10am start.
Time Limit – 21 hours/all to finish by 5.30am
All entrants to carry a mug please.
The entry fee includes tea and toast at registration, refreshments at checkpoints, a hot meal at around 33 miles and at the finish and a certificate.
Car parking is available on site.
The route description, GPX file and Risk Assessment will be available on Essex & Herts LDWA - Shotley Peninsula 50 2023 approximately two weeks before the event.
No refunds available after Saturday 5th August. Refunds before will incur an administrative charge.
