The 10th Anniversary Dunkeld Enduro is almost here and to celebrate we have gone for 2 days of racing!

Full course 10 stages, Lite 5 stages (equalling the classic one day format) and for all of the talented youth riders out there we have a new course - Pro-amateur Youth which will see them race 7 stages over 2 days.

We will have all the classics trails you love plus some trails we've never raced before, expect a mix of fast and technical with an strong intermediate to advanced theme and all ridden blind of course!

Here's the breakdown -

  • Day 1
Classic Dunkeld Enduro Day ridden blind with a mix of fast and technical trails with a Full course distance consisting of 5 stages covering 43km & 1350m of ascent in total.  The Lite features 5 stages covering 43km & 1350m.  The Pro-amateur Youth course will be 4 stages.
All rounded off with a 10th Year Anniversary night.

  • Day 2
For those on the Full course coming back for more on day two we have 5 stages over 40km & 1350m of ascent  (combined Full 2 day event is 10 stages 83km and 2700m of ascent).  The Pro-amateur Youths will be taking on 3 stages on day two.

We will be using the SPORTident "Air+" timing which allows the rider to ride through the start and finish gates with no "dibbing" allowing for an accurate and instant course time.

Event HQ: TBC but likely St Ninian's Gardens, Dunkeld, PH8 0AT (please note there is no car access to the gardens)

Event Registration and Start: Please select a registration time when you enter, for both days as appropriate.  This will also form your start time as we ask that you are ready to ride as soon as you register and collect your timing chip in the morning (both days).  This means less queuing at the top of stages.  The time slots will be spread from 8:30am - 10:30am.  There will be no rider briefing, this will be emailed prior to the event only.

Podium: We will be running two podiums, one on Saturday afternoon and one on Sunday afternoon.  Keep on eye on the screen at HQ and on your emails to see if you are in for a trophy.  Further details will be in the pre-event email.

Parking: At your own discretion but please ensure you park sensibly to avoid local upset.  Where possible please use the pay and display car parks - Dunkeld North car park and Tay Terrace.  We will have some parking at the new MUGA car park but only space for about 30 cars, this will be signed.  Please do what you can to car share and consider leaving your vehicle at your accommodation on the day(s) of the event.  If you are local just pedal to the event HQ.

Toilets: FREE - North car park public toilets (please show attendant entry confirmation email or number board to gain free access).  Please note these don't open until 9am.  These facilities are not suitable for changing or washing.

Food: There are loads of options in Dunkeld and a couple over in Birnam too.  Opening/closing times vary depending on establishment.  Keep an eye on establishment social media and on our FB page for special offers/opening times.  There will be a limited feed station out on the course too.

The Dunkeld Enduro is suitable for mountain bike riders with a good level of experience in riding difficult technical downhill single track. We aim to keep the tracks as flowing as possible and suitable for as many riders as possible, but we advise that the trails are not suitable for beginners. If you are in doubt that this event is for you then get in touch or speak to Progression Bikes, Dunkeld.

The Dunkeld Enduro is an independent event run by Highland Perthshire Cycling (SCO44141) and volunteers to showcase the fantastic riding in this area. Volunteers work with HPC and the Tayside Trail Association throughout the year on maintaining trails and seeking new ones and this event is the showcase for their hard-work.

Riders aged under 16 on the 13th May 2023 must be accompanied by an adult rider on the course (there is no charge for the adult rider place and they do not receive a timing chip but must sign in on the day and collect a chaperone number board from registration). If you have any questions regarding riding as an under 16 then please get in touch with Kat - kat@highlandperthshirecycling.com

If you have your own SIAC Active Timing Card you can use it at this event and recieve a £3.60 discount on your entry price.  You can purchase a SIAC from the SPORTident UK website here, or here to personalise the colour and number. Anyone using their own timing chip and wish to pull out of the event please let a marshal know you are doing this (the search party get a bit worried!), cheers.
