Peak Raid Anytime Race 4 - Stanage

Born out of the pandemic, and now with over 2000 competitive runs, Peak Raid Anytime is back for a fourth year.

Go hard, go easy, go anytime. Using the MapRun6 app, a series of four races.

Race 4 visits the stunning area around Stanage Edge. Impressive views and great running from High Neb to Carhead Rocks and beyond.

The series uses footpaths and areas of open access around the Peak District. Think fell running requiring good route choice and navigation skills. The courses are planned to provide great running in more remote ‘off the beaten track’ locations, along footpaths and over areas of open access land in the Peak District. All events have a score format so you select your own route and run as hard or as easy as you like!

The races have a time limit of 2 hours, all controls score 20 points and there is a penalty of -10 points for each minute late.

The MapRun app allows you to compare your performance with others using the online leader board and tracks.

The first race goes live on Saturday 25th March with a series launch in Great Longstone, then a new event will be released at the beginning of May, June and July. All four races count towards the overall competition.

Guidance on using the MapRun app can be found here: https://explorerevents.co.uk/map-run-guidance/

The closing date for entries is Friday 29th September. The last date for a competitive run in any of the four events is Sunday 1st October.

Order a Professionally Printed Map

Professionally printed waterproof maps are still available and can be purchased when entering, allow 2 to 3 days for postage.  As in previous years a map PDF will also be made available for competitors to print their own map.

Events can be run in any order and do not need to be completed in the month they go live. Only runs completed by Sunday 1st October will contribute to the overall series results. The series result will be the combined score from all four MapRun events.

The results will be updated at the end of each month and will be published on the Explorer Events website: www.explorerevents.co.uk
