Avoid the Christmas rush and finish the year on a high by joining us for the Celtic Trail Races. With a choice of three exciting routes following the old high level footpath the 'Coed Morgannwg Way' around the Afan forest and Rhigos mountainside, this is the perfect race to help you survive the upcoming week of indulgence!
The route is entirely off road and goes through woodlands, pastures, moorland and mountainsides. It is a fast, fun, runnable route following some of Wales hidden trails over the vast expanse of the Afan Forest, Rhigos mountain range and surrounding hillsides. On your journey through ancient woodlands you will pass hidden reservoirs, towering wind turbines and unrivalled views of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The route culminates in a dramatic, fast descent into a lively and festive finish at Dare Valley Country Park.
- The Celtic Ultra is a circular route starting and finishing in Dare Valley Park - 34 miles - 5194 ft ascent.
- The Celtic Trail Marathon is a circular route starting and finishing at Dare Valley Country park. 26 miles - 3050 ft ascent.
- The Celtic Trail Half Marathon is a linear route starting at Resolven - 13 miles - 2200 ft ascent.
All courses are FULLY MARKED.

In order to keep the basic entry prices down we are offering the choice of adding an event T-Shirt or hoodie. For the Half Marathon there is also the option of adding Coach Transport from the finish to the start.
