Chip timing: This year we are using ankle chips for the first time which must be left with us. Gun to finish times will be used for results and awards purposes. The chip to chip time is for your personal use as that would become a time trial rather than a race. Complete the medical details on the reverse of your number. You must wear your number on the front of your shirt. That is where the backup timekeepers will look for it. We will be using a barcode reader so don't think you are about to be tasered and run away.

Registration: Will be from 8.30am to 10.00am in the club. Affiliated athletes to wear club vests.  Non runner numbers to be returned to registration desk. Right of entry is at the discretion of the race director.

Headphones: The cause of so many arguments so any runner caught wearing any headphones, in whatever shape or form, will be disqualified.

The Race:  Starts at 10.30am on Highgate Hill beside the Port & Starboard.
Drinks stations will be approx. 3 miles, 6 miles, 9 miles, 12 miles.

All of the road sections are open to traffic apart from the final 300 yards. The trail section covers approx. 5 miles and is uneven and can be muddy in parts although road shoes are recommended.

Cut off time is 3 hours.  If you exceed that time you will be responsible for making your own way back. No dogs, cycles, pushchairs, walkers, and no outside assistance. Not suitable for wheelchairs. Competitors with other disabilities or medical issues must contact the race director prior to entering so that the medical team can be prepared in advance. You must obey marshals’ instructions and be aware that they cannot legally stop traffic.

The Route 2023: From the start, run down Highgate Hill, turn right then straight ahead along Moorland Road before turning left towards Ruthvoes. Through Ruthvoes and loop back to Gnomeworld to enter the trail. Also, the site of the first & last water station. Stay on the trail for approx. 2.5 miles to Toads Hole, the site of water station 3 & 4, then left into Tregoss village. Turn right for a steady climb to Rosedown Kennels. Turn right to Pitsmingle where again you turn right to go back to Toads Hole and on to the trail. Exit at Gnomeworld, turn left and stay left until the marshal crosses you to the pavement towards Indian Queens and the finish at the working mens club.

Request: When you have collected your chip, please stay well away from the chip timing system unless you are crossing it to start or finish the race. Should you need to drop out of the race please give your chip to someone to return it to the club but ask that they keep away from the timing system.

The trail is a designated site of special scientific interest so please do not drop litter.

Results: Will be available from Run Britain and Cornish running club sites as soon as possible after the race.
