INVOC welcome you to Keppernach for the sixth and final Northern Night Cup. Many thanks to Cawdor Estates for use of the area and Kevin and Donnie Kinaird of Keppernach Farm for use of hardstanding and farm buildings.
Terrain / Planner’s Comments: Keppernach is a mature coniferous forest on moraine with interesting small hills and hollows, with heather and grass underfoot. There are limited paths and rides making for excellent orienteering at the TD4/5 level.
Maps: Pre-marked and printed on waterproof paper, scale 1:10,000 with 5m contour intervals. Minor map updates February 2022. A previous version of the map can be viewed at: https://www.invoc.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#52

Toilets: There are no nearby toilets. Please go before you come, or stop enroute.
Courses: Long 4.3km; Short 3.2km; Night Novice 2.4km

If you are non-competitive for the NNC league please inform the organiser (see NNC guidelines).
Night novice course would in daylight be classed as a hard yellow or easy orange course. All controls are either on the path network or visible from the path network (with reflective kites and headtorches), but up to 30m from the path. One of the legs is taped between paths.
Refreshments: The INVOC juniors will be offering tea/coffee and bakes. Please make a donation to junior training weekend funds. Bring some change. Bring your thermos mug and reduce waste too.
NNC League: Angus Laird is hoping to be able to calculate final league positions on the evening. These will be available at 8pm. Please stay for the announcements (no prizes have been donated as yet, but we will update on this).
Event timing: mixed punching – contactless and traditional punching.
