This is a popular National Trust area, not used for orienteering since 2018. The map has been significantly updated for this event.
All courses will use predominantly the wooded area to the north of Felbrigg Hall, although the longer courses will also visit the pastureland to the south. The northwest part of the wooded area includes a series of pronounced spurs and re-entrants. The rest of the area has less contour detail and consists of mixed woodland of variable runnability.
Forestry work and heavy bracken growth in the northwest part have made runnability in some areas slow; however there is a good network of tracks and paths.
