BL Bampton Common and Cawdale Long O

The car park and finish are at High Howe farm NY491192, 4km SW of Helton. The start is 1.5km from the car park along flat paths for all courses except Super Short which starts in the car park

 

Terrain: Runability is generally good but with some marshy sections that can be hard going particularly after wet weather. It is mostly grassy but with patches of bracken (mapped) and low heather. There are sections of rock and contour detail.

 

>  Long 17.5km, 790m climb

>  Medium 12.4km, 480m climb

>  Short 7.7km, 330m climb 

>  Very Short 5.0km, 200m climb

>  Super Short 4.0km, 130m climb

 

Map: 1:12,500 for Long and Medium. 1:10,000 for Short, Very Short and Super Short

 

Entries: Close 23rd August. Some late entry will be available subject to map availability but you must contact the organisers ( BLdanandkaren@gmail.com ) in advance to confirm. There will be no entry on the day.

 

Start Times: 10:00 – 12:00, but those on the long course should start before 11am (unless you know you are very fast!).

 

Courses Close: 3:30

 

Dogs: Permitted in the car park and on courses but must be on a lead

 

Pairs: You are very welcome to run as a pair.

 

Refreshments: Free tea and cake at the finish
