The Round Sheffield Run - Multi-Stage Trail Running Enduro - Winter Edition
The Winter edition is back!
We're mad enough to put on the winter version again, after the challenging mudfest of the 1st Winter edition in January 2022.
Maybe you are up for the challenge too?
This is the smaller 1 day event that sits alongside the bigger 2 day summer event.
The elements and terrain present a healthy additional challenge to what is already a tough run in the summer!
Despite potentially chilly temperatures the atmosphere, and friendliness are guaranteed to be warm. Mulled wine, Heaters and other heart-warming features will be again part of the mix to welcome you back.
The event uses a unique innovative concept: 11 Stages of running to be completed individually or as a pair.
It's a superb scenic running journey around some of the best trails in Sheffield, linking up the great city's parkland and green spaces.
The timed stages make up 20km of the 24.5km route.
The unique format breaks the route down into bite sized stages.
Each stage having its own character.
Each stage is raced, and competitors receive results for each stage as well as the combined overall result.
Between stages competitors have the opportunity to relax a little, regroup with their team and friends and refocus before the next timed stage begins.
Competitors are allowed to walk or jog inbetween timed stages.
This creates a special and unique social vibe at the race.

Participants are set off at regular intervals every few seconds, so there will always be someone to chase.
A host of refreshments to refuel on the way round, as well as the Thornbridge Beer Tent, Wood Fired Pizza and BBQ at the finish to enable reward for successful completion.
The creative concept means that a route such as this can be accessed and completed safely by runners of all abilities.
Entry as Individuals or Pairs. Pairs must complete all stages of the course together.

Start Times
You will be asked to select a start time between 0830-1030, there is a limit of 300 for each 15 min slot.
Elite Wave - 200 Places are available in the Elite Wave to go off first at 0830. Qualifying standard is a 20min 5k for Men and 22min 5k for Women.
If you're steadier than 2 hours 30 for a half marathon the final start wave isn't advised. All others you'll be surrounded by support.
Estimated time to complete course 1h45 to 4h30.
