This 20-mile road race is over an undulating 2-lap scenic route mainly on closed roads and is ideal preparation for a Spring marathon.  Famous Ashby 20 hoodie and goody bag for all finishers!

2023 Pre Race HQ:

Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido, LE65 1HU (Previously known as Hood Park).  Pre-race toilets and changing are available at the Leisure Centre.

Race Venue:

Bath Grounds, Station Road, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire LE65 2GP

Final race details and information can be found on our website at http://www.ashby20.co.uk  Please look at the Race Booklet which is available at least 4 weeks in advance on the 'Event Info' tab.

The race is conducted under UK Athletic rules. UKA Licence Number - 2023-45004. Course measurement number 16/061.

Maximum 1500 runners (initial entries up to 1650 to allow for withdrawals - no waiting list this year).

Swaps to friends/clubmates are no longer allowed, however, you may withdraw, and get a refund (less £5 admin costs).  The cut-off window for withdrawals with refunds is Sunday 12th February, as we start preparations for sending out numbers then.  This year there will be no waiting list.

As with most road events, earphones are not allowed except for bone conducting headphones and medically prescribed hearing devices.  The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.

All runners must be aged 18 or over.

Due to the need to remove the road closures and get the roads open to traffic as quickly as we can, we must have a time limit for the event.  The cut off time at the 10 mile point is 2 hours 20 mins, measured by the half-way clock, located after the drinks station and village of Packington at the start of the second lap. This roughly equates to a 4 hours 45 mins race finish time.

Please leave bags at the secure area at the Finish.  ALL bags left at Hood Park headquarters will be taken to the Finish, so you have warm clothes etc. as soon as you finish.

All entrants covered by the rights in the Data Protections Act/GDPR.

Please ensure all known medical conditions that race medics should be aware of, and  your emergency contact details are up to date in your race entry.

An entrant shall be deemed to have made theirself, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of entry, whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
