Esk Valley Fell Club are proud to be hosting the fourth of five counters in this years FRA Junior Fell Championships.
This is an FRA Junior Championship race for U9 (over 6)/U11/U13/U15/U17/U19 categories.
The courses are based on the terrain where we hold our festive favourite the Guisborough Woods Race. The annual junior and senior races are some of the North Yorkshire Moors longest lived fell races.
All four races will have the same start and the same finish. The under 9 boys and girls will run a single short lap over a specially designed championship course and the under 11 boys and girls will run two small laps.
The older junior runners will follow the majority of the larger senior Guisborough Woods course lap, though with variations to the opening 800 metres and closing descent. The under 13’s and 15’s will run together over a single lap of the course and under 17’s and under 19’s will run together over two large laps.
All routes will be fully taped and flagged with lots of marshals on hand to offer encouragement and ensure the correct routes are followed for each race.
Registration will be hosted at the Guisborough Rugby club where refreshments will be available.
