This iconic 22 mile heritage trail takes you around the Lake Shores of Ullswater over 3 days, giving views into the mountains. Blencathra & the Helvellyn & High Street can been seen on a clear day as you summit Gowbarrow Fell. Our guides will show you the 12 Heritage Installations around the route that has recently been given National Long Distance Walking Route Status. A Wonderful addition in April & May will be passing the Wordsworth Daffodils along the shores of Ullswater, where William Wordsworth & his Sister Dorothy were inspired by daffodils dancing in the breeze. Ullswater is also the home of the Donald Campbell’s Water Speed Record in the famous Bluebird in 1955!
Walk Distances:
A longer mountain day can be arranged on day 2 to accommodate the more adventurous party members, whilst the rest of your party take a more leisurely day for the shortest leg of the Ullswater Way.
