A tough fell race that takes in the superb private estate of Castle Carr as well as Midgley Moor, Warley Moor and Wadsworth Moor.
A challenging route with some of everything: open moorland that you need to navigate across; fast descents; long climbs; and flatter, faster sections.
Category AL: 24 km (15 miles) with 1200m (4000ft) of ascent/descent.
Sunday 3rd October 2021 from the Hare and Hounds Pub, Chiserley (Old Town) near Hebden Bridge. HX7 8TN.
Main start: 11am
Early start available at 10:30am for runners who would expect to be in the last 20% of the field.
The race is licensed by the FRA under UKA rules. FRA mandatory minimum kit is compulsory.
You must carry:
- waterproof whole body cover with hood and taped seams
- hat or buff
- gloves
- map of the route, suitable for navigating with
- a proper compass (not out of a Christmas cracker!)
- whistle
- emergency food
