“A Coventry Way” is an officially recognised long distance path, which circumnavigates the city of Coventry (as shown on Ordnance Survey maps). It is 40 miles long, the majority of which is off-road, and passes through mainly agricultural land in Warwickshire and Solihull. The Challenge is held annually and the aim is to complete the whole circular route in a day (effectively 15½ hours). It is open to individual walkers and runners, as well as relay teams of up to 8 members. There are 7 reasonably evenly spaced checkpoints on the route, providing food, drinks (you MUST bring your own mug) and encouragement! All entrants are provided with a hot meal at the finish. A commemorative T-shirt is available to purchase for all those who complete the entire circuit.
The Start and Finish is at the Queen's Head, Meriden, CV7 7JP (GR: SP 251 820)
