Wooler Trail Marathon and Half Marathon  is set in the heart of Northumberland National Park and includes many splendid uninterrupted views to the far horizon and many undulations along the way. The race administration area is at Wooler YHA. All routes  initially follows the Saint Cuthbert's Way before heading into the World's best national park. The run has some pleasant undulations to contend with as you make your way to the hill that gives the Cheviott Hills their name. After climbing up Cheviott you pick up the Pennine Way and head towards the Saint Cuthbert's Way and the Scottish Borders before heading back towards Wooler along the Saint Cuthbert's Way.

This is a challenging Trail Marathon with around 5500 feet of ascent, but the view available are well worth the effort. The half marathon and 10K routes also offer a challenging run with some of the same great views. All the routes will be marked when deviating from Way marked trails used on these runs.

As ever Hippie Nixon Photography will be on hand to capture some race memories for you as part of the event. We can promise that this race will give you some unforgettable memories as it tracks through the heart of the World’s best national park.
