Part of the North West Night League sponsored by BrightBikeLights.
Knipe Scar is an area of open fellside in the Lowther Valley between 200m and 350m above sea level containing old mine workings and a complex array of gorse bushes.
Parking will be at Bampton Memorial Hall (CA10 2RS) which will provide an indoor space and loos. £1 parking fee collected on the night. Hannah Birkinshaw will be selling hot drinks, soup and cakes so bring some change!
Starts 18:00 to 19:00. The route to the start is 1.5km with 20m climb along country lanes. There will be a clothing dump near the start (left at owners risk).
Finish is close to the start. Courses close 21:00 - if you think you may be pushing this time please start earlier rather than later as we need to vacate the Hall building by 21:30.
Courses:
> Orange - 2.0km, 90m climb, easier navigation
> Green - 3.3km, 155m climb, hard navigation
> Blue - 4.7km, 195m climb, hard navigation
Map: 1:7,500 with 5m contours. A previous event can be seen here.
Pre-entry only except for Orange course where there will be some entry on the night, subject to map availability.
