Are you thinking of picking a bicycle up again after a 20 year break?

Are you thinking of commuting to work on your bike, but want more confidence in traffic?

Maybe you want to help your child to improve their cycling and be safer on the road?

Or, are you a regular, more experienced cyclist, and interested in getting into cycle training?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes, then this new and unique interactive 1 hour Webinar is for you.

Using pictures, graphics, videos and more, we’ll go through some really useful basics.

We’ll talk about getting ready.

We’ll then go into some basic riding skills that you really need to nail before venturing out onto the road and how you can get them quickly.

When heading out onto the road we talk about how to safely negotiate road junctions. It sounds simple, and it is! However there are a few basic things that go a long way to keeping you safer.

We then progress to discussing about riding in busier urban areas. Riding in these areas is often unavoidable, but there’s plenty of techniques that you can build into your riding that will reduce your level of risk – and give you more enjoyment!

Finally, we’ll talk about how you can take things further. There are plenty of events and training courses. Some of which are free, but it’s a case of pointing people in the right direction.

The Webinar is co presented by experienced Cycle Instructor and Ride Leader, Sean Bolland, and Go Velo Director, Kirsti Grayson.

So come and join us. Cycling is a big part of our future in the post COVID world, whether on electric bikes or normal bikes. So why not make the most of it. We hope to see you soon!

Starting at 7pm, the seminar will be conducted by Zoom and will last approximately 60 minutes. It would be helpful, but not essential that participants are familiar with using Zoom.

This Webinar is supported and promoted by Connecting East Lancshire and Lancashire County Council.
