Spring Trail Running Series – Rounds 2 & 3 – POSTPONED
It has now been over 12 months since we were last able to organise and put on a trail run and it goes without saying that we are keen to get events up and running again. Sadly though, as a result of the continued uncertainty as to when trail running events will be able to restart we are regretfully going to have to postpone our forthcoming Spring Series trail runs on the 11th and 25th of April. All participants have been informed by email.

In order to organise sustainable trail running events in the Peak District there are many procedures that need to be done in order to obtain the correct permissions for the event to take place, some of which can take several months to go through. In the current restrictive situation we simply can’t start any of those processes at least until the government confirms the date that mass participation outdoor sporting events are likely to be able to restart.

We are therefore in the unfortunate situation once again where we have no other option but to postpone the two April Spring events until later in the year. Once we can confirm the new dates we will let participants know via email and what to do if they are unable to attend.

Round 3 - TBC - Peak District - Sunday 25th April 2021

The 6th running of the Dark & White Spring Trail Run Series – four rounds of classic trail running all in and around the Peak District National Park. There is a choice of a long (14-17km) or short (5-8km) course at each round.

Using our tried and tested formula of designing courses in conjunction/liaison with the rangers at the Peak District National Park in some of the most spectacular and scenic areas of the Peaks we will hopefully introduce you to some new tracks, trails and places which you didn’t even know existed! Wherever possible we aim for the courses to be as close to 100% off road as possible in quiet countryside away from main roads, traffic, crowds, congestion, noise etc. All we want you to see, hear and experience is Peak District trail running at its very best.

For all event details including route, kit requirements, start times etc see trailrunningpeaks.co.uk/spring-series/

On each event expect:

  • A clearly signed/arrowed route
  • A feed-station providing juice, water and snacks/nutritional products (long route only)
  • A detailed colour route map provided including emergency numbers
  • SPORTident chip timing for an instant post-event time
  • Refreshments at the finish
  • Gold, silver and bronze awards based on your finishing time. Separate women award times

Age limits - the minimum age is 17

Younger runners under 17 may enter the short course but entry depends on their age and course distance and they must be accompanied throughout the event by a parent/guardian who must be age 20+ – **contact the organisers prior to entering for more details**.
