Also known as 'The Beast', this is a classic winter fell race taking place on the moorland north of Hebden Bridge. Navigational skill is required, runners must negotiate 14 checkpoints over 19 miles (31km) with 3650ft (1110m) of ascent. The terrain is a mixture of technical paths and open fell.

The race is licensed by the FRA under UKA rules. FRA mandatory minimum kit is compulsory including waterproof full body cover (with taped seams & integrated attached hood) + hat + gloves + map + compass + whistle + emergency food. Kit check prior to race number allocation on the day.

Changing rooms, refreshments and prizes at the cricket club after the race. Limited parking so car sharing is encouraged.
