The Cerne Giant Anytime Challenge

This is an Anytime Challenge event, which entrants can complete at a time of their choosing between 12th April 2021 and 30th June 2021.
The event is entirely unsupported, so there are no refreshments provided and no marshals on the route. Checkpoints are included in the route description, but these are for reference only and they will not be manned.
This challenge event offers the choice of a 30 or 20 mile route. Starting from the village of Cerne Abbas, site of the famous Cerne Giant, the route will take in some of the best downland and river valleys of Dorset, passing through Alton Pancras, Lyscombe Chapel, Bingham's Melcombe (30 route only), the Dorsetshire Gap, Buckland Newton and Sydling St Nicholas (also 30 route only).
The event will start from Cerne Abbas Kettle Bridge car park (GR ST664015). Parking £1 honesty box.
Upon entering you will be emailed a link to download the route descriptions and GPX files.
We suggest that entrants should confidently expect to complete their chosen distance in 11 hours.
Results
Entrants who complete the event should send an email to dorset.ldwa.events@gmail.com with their distance and finish time and they will receive a personalised, print at home, certificate by email. Optionally finishers can choose to receive a finishers certificate by post (£1 extra)
Results will be published on the Dorset LDWA website and be updated every few days during the event.
